    August BRC Board Walk
    Exploring an Easement
    August 22, 2026

    Picture
    Friday, August 22, 2026
Our eighth hike in this series will be led by board member Phil Freeman.

If you read our Summer Report you many have learned about Steve Oberle, a landowner who set out to purchase land with a conservation easement on it.  Our August Board Walk will take you on a tour of this property, located just north of Bayfield.  Once part of a living forest cooperative, this 100 year old orchard is home to an old growth forest and a beautiful lavender garden!

Participants will meet at the BRC office at 33 N. 1st Street in Bayfield, WI at 9:00am for coffee and treats before carpooling to the trail head for the hike. You will return to the BRC office well before noon.

TRAIL CONDITIONS: This can be a hilly hike, so hiking boots are recommended. Don't forget to bring a water bottle and camera!

No RSVP required, just come to the office at 9:00am on Friday, August 22, 2026.
